Changing Journal

Apr. 21st, 2006 | 09:56 am
mood: busybusy

I'm deleting this journal and changing to my djonma one.
I can't just change the name on this journal because I already own the name on the other journal.
Besides, $15 to change your name???

So yeah, if people want to comment on the new journal to let me know they want to be on my friend's list, I'll do it that way, rather than have a clunky out of date friend's list.

My Grandma died this morning.

At least it's over. She didn't want to live. She was just suffering.

An excellent opener to the new series of Dr Who.
Though David Tennant playing a woman inside the Dr's body is just a little too camp for me to believe he hasn't done that before!

I've been feeling really crappy the last few days.
I'm guessing it's just a fibro flareup. I'm so knackered though. And my arm is really, really playing up. Actually, they both are, but my right being worse than my left, is now very bad.
And I just want to curl up with Rob, but he's in work.

So in the day when Judas' Testament is revealed, scientists discover a possible explanation behind Jesus walking on water.

Of course, it's also possible he just walked on water.

Cos it's kinda cool:

18th June.

Three Events in History:

1178 - Five Canterbury monks see what was possibly the Giordano Bruno crater being formed. It is believed that the current oscillations of the moon's distance (on the order of metres) are a result of this collision.

1815 - Napoleonic Wars: Battle of Waterloo leads to Napoleon Bonaparte abdicating the throne of France for a second, final time

My Date of Birth: 1981 - AIDS is identified.

Three Birthdays:

1942 - Sir Paul McCartney, English singer and songwriter (Beatles)

1845 - Charles Louis Alphonse Laveran, French physician, recipient of the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine (d. 1922)

1901 - Grand Duchess Anastasia Nicolaievna Romanova of Russia (d. 1918)

Three Deaths:

1588 - Robert Crowley, English printer and poet

1680 - Samuel Butler, English poet (b. 1612)

1794 - François Nicolas Leonard Buzot, French Revolutionary leader (b. 1760)

And because Wikipedia is broken it says under births:

1824 - Ferdinand III, Grand Duke of Tuscany (b. 1769)
That's his death date hehe.

I can't make polls since I don't have a paid account, so I'll just ask people this either or question and see the responses in comments.

If you had the choice (and we had the ability), would you remove memories of horrible things in the knowledge that they made you who you are today but you'd rather not remember them? Or would you keep the horrible memory and remain the person you are?

And what if the person that those memories has made is NOT stronger because of them, and is not better off because you've lived through that thing?

Gmail has been going down a lot more recently.
It is currently not appearing for me (404).
The list of what I need to do for Rob's army is in an email.

So, where I was supposed to start painting the models he sprayed the other day, I'm not entirely sure how many I need to paint.

Edit: And as soon as I hit post, it appears.

Edit2: Even better, it turns out I only have to paint paint 3 blokes.
Then there's all the tiny detail bits, which I'm still doing on the already painted blokes as well.
But that's a lot better than I thought it would be.
